The evaluation, point by point
Canvasser onboarding cost
Canvassers join through a QR code or link — in the browser, no app-store download — and land directly on the campaign. Codes are separate for canvassers and managers, expire after 30 days, and a manager can replace one immediately if it spreads too far; the old link and QR stop working on the spot.
Numbers you can act on mid-shift
Campaign stats update on the server the moment a canvasser submits a door, and the manager dashboard keeps itself current through the day without manual refresh. It reports what was submitted — completion, responses, team activity — not projections.
Turf cutting you can explain
Route assignment is deterministic: addresses are normalized, grouped by street and building, and chunked into routes at a size you set. An apartment building is one stop. When an import carries coordinates, routes add geospatial grouping and a walking order; when it doesn't, the same street-and-building logic applies. No AI touches assignment, so any route is explainable to anyone who asks.
Data custody you can defend
Voter data is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, and nobody can pull the decrypted list in bulk — decryption happens one assigned record at a time, per authenticated canvasser request. Voter PII is never sent to AI services. Your data isn't sold or shared, and your campaign's work exports as CSV whenever you want it.
Pricing that ignores headcount
Core canvassing is free with no subscription and no per-seat fee: campaign creation, invites, assignment, routes, swipe canvassing, the dashboard, and exports. Adding canvassers never adds a fee. Optional services — texting, some voter-data handling — use one-off Credits, a dollar apiece and bought only as needed, at rates shown before you confirm.
The fastest useful evaluation
The fastest evaluation is a live one: create a campaign, import a slice of a real file or a test file, and run one route end to end. Core canvassing is free, so there's no procurement conversation standing between you and an answer. - Import the voter file as CSV. Optional AI-assisted column mapping reads headers and sanitized samples only — never voter PII.
- Issue separate canvasser and manager join codes — nobody creates accounts by hand, and coordination access stays deliberate.
- Set route size to your turf norms and distribute; grouping is by street and building.
2During a shift: submitted results, visible
- Canvassers move through assigned records with the voter details and script on one screen, logging each outcome with a tap.
- The dashboard shows submitted progress by route and canvasser while shifts are out.

What Activate doesn't decide
Activate does field, not the whole campaign: no fundraising, no compliance, no paid media. It doesn't replace targeting judgment — you decide the universe, the script, and the turf priorities — and the dashboard reports what canvassers submit; it doesn't model or predict. We don't publish customer case studies yet, and we don't quote capacity, uptime, or support figures we haven't measured. What we claim is what you can verify in the product, free, with your own file.
